St George College is the first Greek Orthodox school in Adelaide, South Australia. The co-educational college, established in 1983, operates under the auspices of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia and is the direct responsibility of the Greek Orthodox community. The original school, now the junior school, is on the corner of Rose Street and Dew Street in the suburb of Mile End. The senior school is located a short distance away, on the corner of Henley Beach Road and South Road, on the site of the former Thebarton Primary School.
The motto, written in Greek : "ΑΙΕΝ ΑΡΙΣΤΕΥΕΙΝ" (AH-in aris-TEV-in) means "Forever Excelling". The emblem of the school includes the shield of St George with the Christian Cross at its centre affirming the importance of the Orthodox Faith. The olive branch and the sprig of wattle symbolise the meeting and interaction of the Australian and Greek cultures)
